Church changing times of Sunday services

Faith Lutheran Church and School, located across from the Mendenhall Mall on Egan Drive, is changing the time of its weekly services starting Sunday.

Morning worship services will be at 10 a.m., with Sunday school and Bible classes from 11:15 a.m. to noon. The schedule will continue until May 21. The summer schedule will be in effect from May 28 to Sept. 3, with morning services starting at 9 a.m. and no Sunday School or Bible classes.

Mindfulness camp scheduled

A Day of Mindfulness is scheduled at the Methodist Camp from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13. The schedule includes sitting and walking meditation, discussion of the five mindfulness trainings, a mindful meal and a tea ceremony.

Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch. For more information call Linda at 789-0140.

Bartlett celebrates start of domestic violence program

Bartlett Regional Hospital will celebrate the implementation of a hospital-wide domestic violence screening program, as well as patient/staff awareness education on the subject, during a ceremony at 3 p.m. Feb. 11 in the hospital's lobby.

Bartlett is one of 14 health care providers in Alaska that has aligned with the national 10 State Health Initiative on Domestic Violence. For more information call Marijo Toner at 586-8488.
