Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Shortly before 1 a.m. today, a woman, 26, reported a possible intoxicated driver near a bar in the Mendenhall Valley. The responding officer arrested Pedro Aguilar, 40, for driving while intoxicated. Aguilar was additionally charged with operating a vehicle while his blood-alcohol level was over 0.10 percent. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A caller reported about 9 p.m. Thursday that he saw a suspicious person on Glacier Highway; he believed the person was rifling parked vehicles. The responding officer could not find any evidence of tampering with vehicles.


A woman, no age given, reported shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday that her daughter, 13, had been beaten Wednesday at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School. The school resource officer is investigating the incident.

Vehicle accidents:

A woman, 30, reported about 4:30 p.m. Thursday that she had lost control of her vehicle on North Douglas Highway and struck a parked vehicle. She and the owner of the other vehicle exchanged insurance information.
