Former Juneau resident Audrey Mae Perdon died Jan. 11, 2005, in Las Vegas.
She was born May 27, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minn. to George and Margaret Rice.
After her family moved to Seattle, Wash., she met and married her husband Frank S. Perdon in 1945. The couple moved to Babbitt, Nev. where they raised their five daughters. They arrived in Juneau in 1973.
Audrey worked for the Alaska Department of Revenue where she was the mail room supervisor. Upon retirement in 1988, Audrey and Frank moved to Woodland, Calif. She moved to Las Vegas in October 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Ponsock and her husband George of Reno, Nev., and Kathryn Eaton of Reno, Nev.; daughters, Winona Casity of Galt, Calif., Wannetta Crago and her husband Gary of Juneau, Wilhelmina Perdon of Boulder City, Nev., Waloha Perdon of Reno, Nev., Wendy Fabela and her husband Roberto of Woodland, Calif.; adopted daughter, Shammy Perdon of Juneau; adopted son, Michael Perdon of Boulder City, Nev.; her bother-in-law, Rudy Isturis and his wife Marlee of Juneau; Roy Isturis and his wife Patty of Juneau; Janie Eldemar and her husband Daniel of Juneau; grandchildren, Deborah Boroski of Juneau, Steve Boroski of Reno, Nev., Tammy Havalind and her husband Justin of Galt, Calif., Todd Perdon and his wife Karinda of Juneau, Tonya Crago and Dan Stevenson of Juneau, Troy Crago and Amanda Corcoran of Juneau, Terra Jarvis and her husband Carl of Boulder City, Nev., Johnna Ward and her husband Jon of Boulder City, Nev., Susie Deese and her husband Joe of Reno, Nev., Roberto Fabela and his wife Michelle of Reno, Nev., and Maria Fabela of Woodland, Calif.; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Friday, Jan. 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Boulder City, Nev.
Her ashes will be spread over Excursion Inlet this summer.
