I am asking our members of Congress to raise the minimum wage by $2.10 an hour with no strings attached and no more business tax breaks.
Sound off on the important issues at
Since bare minimum-wage workers got a raise nearly 10 years ago, businesses have gotten $300 billion in tax breaks. Members of Congress have taken nine pay raises in that time, worth $31,600 per member. That's three times the entire year's pay for the least minimum wager.
Low-wage workers have been at the back of the line long enough. We elected the 110th Congress to work for working families. I want our members of Congress to push for the minimum-wage increase.
