JUNEAU — The touring arm of the Banff Mountain Film Festival comes to Juneau this week, with the final showings at 7 p.m. tonight at Centennial Hall.
The festival highlights work from the Banff Mountain Festival, held every fall in Canada, bringing a selection of films to more than 30 countries around the world.
Juneau’s showings are sponsored by the University of Alaska Southeast’s student government organization which has chosen a program reflecting the interests of local audiences. Selections include films on exploration and adventure, culture and environment, and mountain sports.
Tickets are $15/$25, and are available at Sequence Skate, Hearthside Books, UAS student services and The Nugget Alaskan Outfitter.
