Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 26-year-old Daniel Strong-Gaston on a drunken driving charge at 1:10 a.m. Saturday on Marine Way downtown. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

• Police arrested 23-year-old Timothy Peele on charges of drunken driving and attempted vehicle theft at 7:02 a.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. They lodged him at the state prison.

Domestic violence:

• Police arrested a 39-year-old man at 9:25 p.m. Thursday for violating a domestic-violence protective order in Juneau. Police lodged him in the state prison.

• Police arrested a 39-year-old man at 11:37 p.m. Thursday on a charge of domestic-violence assault in Douglas. They also charged him with resisting arrest and lodged him at the state prison.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited an 18-year-old man on a charge of underage drinking at 2:49 a.m. Saturday on Marine Way.

• Police cited a 20-year-old woman on a charge of underage drinking at 4:30 a.m. Saturday in Lemon Creek.

Theft:

• A backpack containing French books, a Sony Walkman, and a Korn compact disc were reported stolen at 1:48 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Glacier Avenue downtown.

• A black purse containing various identification and $750 cash was reported stolen at 1:59 p.m. Thursday in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• A 49-year-old man reported the theft of $23.80 in services at 12:33 a.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of Douglas Highway.

• A 22-year-old woman reported the theft of a purse and two wallets at 2:12 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Front Street downtown.

Vandalism:

• A 17-year-old girl reported at 12:18 p.m. Thursday that the side window of her Honda Civic was smashed on Behrends Avenue downtown.

• A 21-year-old woman reported at 2:36 p.m. Friday that someone threw something that damaged her vehicle in the Mendenhall Valley.

Hit and run:

• A 32-year-old woman reported at 12:39 p.m. Thursday that her 2004 Honda CRV was struck while parked in June 2005 in the valley. Damage was estimated at $545.

• A 52-year-old woman reported at 12:47 p.m. Thursday that her parked vehicle was struck in the 5100 block of Glacier Highway.

• A 44-year-old man reported at 2:58 p.m. Friday that his parked Chevrolet Silverado was struck on Gold and Second streets downtown. A damage estimate was unknown.

• A 46-year-old man reported at 7:57 p.m. Friday that his parked Subaru Impreza was struck in the 100 block of Egan Drive. A damage estimate was unknown.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a 25-year-old man on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance at 7:59 p.m. Thursday after the Jeep he was driving struck a Toyota driven by a 43-year-old man near Mendenhall Loop Road and Montana Creek Road in the valley.

• A 19-year-old woman was cited on charge of failing to yield at 8:24 a.m. Friday after the Plymouth Colt she was driving was involved in an accident with a Ford Excursion driven by a 43-year-old man in Douglas.

• An 18-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet was cited on a charge of speeding at 10:17 a.m. Friday downtown after an accident with a van driven by a 25-year-old man.

Traffic stops:

• Police cited a 22-year-old man at 3:57 p.m. Thursday on a charge of driving without a license in the 2200 block of Trout Street near the airport.

• Police cited a 21-year-old man at 2 p.m. Friday near Salmon Creek on charges of driving without a valid license and speeding.

• Police cited a 39-year-old Sitka woman at 8:14 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving without a license near Cinema Drive in the valley. Police impounded the vehicle she was driving.
