JDHS grad Talisa Rhea cracks starting lineup for Oregon State

JUNEAU - Talisa Rhea, a 2007 Juneau-Douglas High School graduate, recently made the starting lineup of the Oregon State University women's basketball team.

Rhea, a freshman on the Beavers, was the starting guard in a 71-63 loss at Arizona on Saturday. She finished with 15 points on 5 of 11 shooting. She made 3 of 8 3-point shots and also had six rebounds for Oregon State (10-12, 3-8 Pac-10).

On Thursday, Rhea started and played all but five minutes in a 66-42 loss at Arizona State.

She scored a team-high 14 points and added three rebounds.

Rhea ranks third on the team in scoring with 11.2 points per game while she's made a team-high 54 3-point shots.

She entered the Arizona game leading the Pac-10 in 3-pointers made and was third in 3-point shooting percentage.

The Beavers will host California on Thursday.
