ANCHORAGE - The police officer who was shot in a drive-by shooting will be recovering at home.
Mayor Dan Sullivan said Wednesday that Officer Jason Allen, shot repeatedly last month, was leaving the hospital. The 47-year-old officer was shot five times on a residential street while sitting in his patrol car early Jan. 9.
No one has been arrested. The Anchorage Police Department Employees Association started a reward fund that now stands at $25,000.
Allen plans to return to duty one day.
