After being observed by police, Alexandria Woods (no age given) was arrested shortly before 9 p.m. Friday in a Mendenhall Valley parking lot for driving while intoxicated and additionally charged with driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent. Her vehicle was impounded. She was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
After being observed by police on Rosedale Street, Sharon Shean, 42, was arrested shortly before 10 p.m. Friday for driving while intoxicated and additionally charged with driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent. Her Ford Bronco was impounded. Shean was lodged at state prison.
After receiving a report of a possible intoxicated driver on Mendenhall Loop Road about 10:30 p.m. Friday, police contacted Harriet Hopson (age not given) in a 1981 American Eagle on a nearby street. Hopson was arrested for driving while intoxicated and additionally charged with refusal to submit to a breath test. The vehicle she had been driving was left with its registered owner.
Police arrested Brenda Williams, 30, about 2 a.m. Saturday at the entrance to a Mendenhall Loop Road trailer park. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent. Her vehicle was given to the charge of another person. She was lodged at state prison.
A girl, 16, reported shortly before 10 a.m. Friday that her backpack had been stolen from her car parked at the Nugget Mall Thursday evening. The backpack contained her school books, notebooks, cellular phone and calculator. There were no leads or suspects.
A female caller (no age given) reported about 1:15 a.m. Saturday that a truck was on its side in a ditch on Cinema Drive. The responding officer found no one in the truck, but noted a fire hydrant had been damaged. Police could not locate the driver of the truck. The vehicle was impounded.
A woman, 45, reported about 8 p.m. Friday from west Willoughby Street that her 1992 Subaru had just been hit by an unknown vehicle. She estimated her vehicle had sustained $1,000 damage.
A woman, 21, and a man, 22, were arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday for disorderly conduct on North Franklin Street. The man was also served with an outstanding warrant. Both were lodged at state prison.
Police attempted a traffic stop on a 1981 Dodge on North Street about 3:40 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle finally came to a stop at a residence on Mark Alan Street. The driver, a woman, 28, was arrested for failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer and additionally charged with resisting arrest.
