Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Weapons violation:

• Police arrested Terry Jones, 29, on a felony charge of third-degree weapons misconduct at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday in an unspecified location in Juneau. Police allege he was a felon in possession of a handgun. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested Brenda McKinley, 50, on a felony drunken driving charge at 12:36 a.m. Thursday on Mendenhall Mall Road. Police lodged her at the state prison and impounded the vehicle she was driving.


• A woman reported at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday that her red purse was stolen near Mendenhall Mall Road. The purse was worth $15. The Nokia cellular telephone inside of it was worth $200.

• A woman reported at 10:19 a.m. Thursday that her purse and wallet were stolen the previous night near Front Street. She estimated the loss at $300.

Vehicle accident:

• At 11:12 a.m. Thursday, a 2000 Ford truck allegedly struck a 1994 Ford truck while it was parked at Seventh and Harris streets. Minor damage was reported to the Ford.

Hit and run:

• A woman reported at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday that her vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked near Glacier Highway. Vehicle descriptions were not available.

Warrant arrest:

• State troopers on Wednesday arrested a Juneau man, 18, on a charge alleging he failed to report to jail as ordered in connection with an auto theft case. They lodged the man at the state prison.

• Police arrested a man, 25, at 10:36 a.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging he failed to appear for a court hearing. They lodged him at the state prison.
