Driving while intoxicated:
Gary E. Daiker, 49, was stopped in the Mendenhall Valley and arrested about 5:30 p.m. Saturday for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle involved also had the wrong license plates. Investigation continues.
Wayne Smallwood, 49, was stopped on Mendenhall loop road near the University of Alaska and arrested for drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over 0.10. He was lodged at state prison and his vehicle was impounded.
Sean Mattson, 31, was stopped on Egan drive outbound, near the National Guard Armory, about 3 a.m. Sunday and arrested for drunken driving and driving with a revoked license. His vehicle was impounded and he was cited and released.
Richard Wright, 33, was stopped about 2 a.m. today on Egan Drive outbound near Norway Point and arrested for drunken driving and driving with a revoked license. He was also charged with a blood alcohol level over 0.1. He was lodged at state prison.
Police received a 911 call about 4 a.m. Sunday and spoke with a woman who requested police, then the line disconnected. Officers responded to the Mendenhall Valley home and arrested a 42-year-old-man for domestic violence assault and interfering with the report of a crime. He was lodged at state prison.
Police responded to a noise complaint about 4 a.m. Sunday at a Mendenhall Valley home and arrested a 24-year-old-man for domestic violence assault against a 25 year-old-woman. He was lodged at state prison.
A 19-year-old-woman was arrested at Lamonts Apparel about 2 p.m. Sunday for shoplifting. She was transported to Juneau Police Department, cited and released.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
About midnight today a man reported that a 24-year-old man was jumping on a white car on Ferry Way downtown. The man was citizen-arrested for criminal mischief. Officers responded and he was lodged at state prison.
