FAIRBANKS - Three men convicted of beating a 15-year-old boy to death on a downtown street in 1997 were sentenced Friday to lengthy prison terms.
During the proceeding, the men again asserted that they were innocent of the crime.
Kevin Pease, 21, was sentenced to 64 years for his role in killing John Hartman. Eugene Vent, 20, was sentenced to a 38-year sentenced, while Marvin Roberts, 22, received 33 years.
A fourth man, George Frese, 23, was sentenced previously to serve 77 years for the murder of Hartman and an attack on another man. Frese also maintains his innocence.
Hartman had been kicked repeatedly in the head and sexually assaulted with an unidentified object. The boy died the next day.
