Blair Marcotte, a Juneau resident who was recently awarded a Child Development Associate credential by the Council of Professional Recognition in Washington, D.C., is seen with some of her RALLY friends who helped her earn her CDA. The process includes earning classroom credits, a formal six-hour observation by an early childhood professional and both a written and oral exam administered by a national representative. Marcotte has demonstrated her ability to work with families and to develop children's physical, social and intellectual capabilities in a safe, healthy learning environment.
