JUNEAU - Juneau Mountain Rescue, a search and rescue (SAR) organization specializing in technical, high angle, avalanche and backcountry operations covering most of northern Southeast Alaska, recently held elections and welcomed new members to its Board of Directors, as well as a newly elected Board President.
Karl Bausler returns to the board as president alongside newly elected members Greg Bledsoe, Sarah Morin and John Parent. In addition, Peter Flynn was appointed to fill the member-at-large seat vacated by Bausler's election as president.
The new board members join Bausler along with current board members Doug Wessen and Jim Calvin in serving to guide and build on the work of local SAR. The new board's election comes just ahead of JMR hosting the Mountain Rescue Association national conference in mid-June.
