Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
After a cab company reported an erratic driver shortly after midnight on West 10th Street, police conducted a traffic stop. They arrested Steven Illman, 36, for drunken driving, fourth-degree misconduct with weapons, and refusing breath analysis. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Thefts:
A security company employee reported shortly after 1 a.m. today that the vehicle of a woman, 23, was rifled on Willoughby Street. The responding officer could find neither leads nor suspects.
A man, 46, reported shortly after 8 a.m. Monday the theft of a stereo and a large number of tapes from his locked vehicle, which was parked at the Aurora Harbor parking lot. He estimated the value of the missing items at $500. There were no leads or suspects.
After receiving a report about 11 a.m. Monday of a disturbance on Portage Boulevard, police arrested a man (no age given) for second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. Another man, 20, was arrested on an outstanding $5,000 felony warrant.
A man, 40, reported about 2 p.m. Monday that a Duo-Fast electric carpet stapler valued at $300 was stolen from a friend's vehicle sometime in the last week. No specific location was known.
Assault:
A man, 51, reported about 10:45 p.m. Monday that he had been assaulted at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The responding officer could find no support for this claim.
Open alcohol container:
Police cited two men, both 39, for open containers in public after finding them on Level D of the Marine Parking Garage shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Vandalism:
An employee of Evergreen Ford reported shortly before 9 a.m. Monday that multiple vehicles in their lot had been broken into and vandalized over the weekend.
Other:
Police conducted a traffic stop on a pickup about 2 p.m. Monday on Nowell Avenue. The driver, a woman, 25, was cited and released for driving without a valid operator's license.
