Juneau resident MaryGrace Tupaz Needham died Jan. 31, 2009, in Juneau. She was 31.
Born to Rodolfo and Elisama Cuales on Aug. 15, 1977, in Kalibo, Philippines, she was baptized Roman Catholic and served God and loved nature, her family said.
She attended 12 years of grade school, 18 months of computer science courses and graduated from Aklan College.
She was survived by her husband, Charles Needham, of Juneau; father, Rodolfo Cuales; and mother, Elisama Carillo Tupaz, of Kalibo.
Services were held Feb. 6 at the Alaskan Memorial Park & Mortuary. A memorial service was held Feb. 7 at the Church of God.
Pallbearers were Bob Sherwood, Koney Kanyawot, Ron Vavalis, Mickeal Shehan, Clay Cummins and Delton Cummins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MaryGrace Home to the Philippines Fund, P.O. Box 210374 Auke Bay, AK 99821. Memorials may be sent to the Filipino Community, downtown.
