Wasilla man gets 8 years on stolen weapons charge

ANCHORAGE - A 36-year-old Wasilla man will serve eight years in a federal prison after being convicted of being in possession of a stolen firearm.
Andrew Swaney was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Anchorage.
The U.S. Attorney's office saids Swaney and a co-defendant broke into a Wasilla pawn shop and took a Ruger .22 caliber semiautomatic firearm and other items.
