JUNEAU - The University of Alaska Southeast invites students who are planning to attend college next year, and their parents, to attend College Goal Sunday at 2 p.m. today at the UAS Student Recreation Center, off the Back Loop Road.

Financial aid experts from the university and the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education will be available to help families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form, which is used by schools across the nation to determine eligibility for scholarships, grants, loans and work study.

Attendees are advised to bring their latest tax return, W2 forms, other financial records and their questions about the FAFSA application, admission processes and college in general. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their laptops with wireless connectivity and the UAS and ACPE staff will assist with the actual online completion of the form.

For more information, contact the university's financial aid director, Barbara Burnett, at 796-6296.
