The Federal Subsistence Board is accepting proposals to change federal regulations for the subsistence harvest of wildlife on federal public lands for the 2012-2014 regulatory years. This is part of its regular review period every two years.
The board will be accepting proposals to change federal hunting and trapping seasons, harvest limits and methods and customary and traditional use determinations. The board will also accept customary and traditional use determination proposals from residents of national parks or national monument resident zone communities or those who already hold a Section 13.440 subsistence permit.
Proposals will be accepted through March 24. They can be submitted online at www.regulations.gov, at any Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Council meeting or by mail to: Federal Subsistence Board, Office of Subsistence Management — Attn: Theo Matuskowitz, 101 East Tudor Road, MS-121, Anchorage, AK 99503.
