Juneau resident Julie Craft died Feb. 5, 2000, at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, after a battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born Aug. 2, 1939, in Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Leonard I. Craft.
She is survived by her husband John L. Craft of Juneau, her son and daughter Michael and Lisa Craft of Fairbanks, grandchildren Chris and Megan Craft of Phoenix, Ariz., Michael Dahl, Amber and Garrett Gibbons of Fairbanks, her mother-in-law Winnie I. Craft of Lawton, Okla., sister-in-law Yerba Esau of St. Louis, Mo., and many nieces and nephews.
Her family wrote that she was an amazingly strong woman with a great sense of humor.
A wake will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 15, at the Lucky Lady.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Gilda Radner Ovarian Cancer Registry, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton Streets, Buffalo, N.Y., 14263.
Bruce Norman Grant
Juneau resident Bruce Norman Grant died Feb. 8, 2000, in Juneau.
He was born Dec. 6, 1945, in El Paso, Texas. He moved to Juneau in August 1989. He was self-employed as an electronics technician.
He is survived by his brothers Sidney W. Grant of Portland, Ore., Richard Grant of Los Angles, Calif., and Mark E. Grant of Phoenix, Ariz., and his sisters Toni Musselman, Fran Nash and Leslie Enoz of Phoenix.
Services will be announced at a later date.
