...for Elvis concert
To the Orelove ``Brothers'' and the community of Juneau:
On January 21, the Orelove ``Brothers,'' Joel and Michael, combined their love of Elvis and his music with their interest in the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council to present a fund raising concert for the Arts Council. Joel and Michael brought Clayton Wagy, an Elvis impersonator, to town and he sang his way into the hearts of the audience.
The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council is most appreciative of Joel and Michael's efforts and energy, and the creative way in which they raised funds for the council. In this time of shrinking public funds, such projects are extremely important. From the reaction of the large crowd at Centennial Hall, we know that this concert made many people very happy. Thank you Michael and Joel!
We are also very grateful to the following Juneau individuals and businesses who contributed to this fund raiser: Thank you Ted Bradley with Travelodge, Capital Records and Robert Cohen, Heritage Coffee, Silverbow Bakery and these volunteers who helped during the concert: Lis Saya, Jim DeMers, Susan Phillips, Manya Pungowiyi and Albert McDonnell. As only Elvis would say ... Thank You Very Much.
