Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Shortly after noon Thursday, a citizen reported a truck in the ditch on Amalga Street. The responding officer contacted the driver, Shawn C. Bradford, 35. Bradford was arrested for drunken driving, driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent, and driving with a revoked license. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Police arrested Keith Shilts, 28, shortly before midnight Thursday on Glacier Highway for drunken driving, driving with a revoked license, interfering with an arrest, and driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent. Shilts fled from the scene on foot, but was apprehended. He was lodged at state prison.

Police arrested George Andrews, 25, about 1:30 a.m. today on Trout Street for drunken driving, driving with a revoked license, four counts of reckless endangerment (one for each passenger in his vehicle), and refusal to take a breath test. He was lodged at state prison.


A woman, 40, reported about 8:30 a.m. Thursday that a ring was missing from her home in Switzer Village Mobile Home Park. A suspect was named.

A man, 54, reported about 9 a.m. Thursday that his red and black plaid coat had been stolen at Channel Bowl. His wallet, $200 in cash, credit cards, passport and checkbook were in one of the pockets of the coat. There were no suspects or leads.

A woman, 70, reported about 10:30 a.m. Thursday that $32 was missing from her South Franklin Street residence. An officer is following up.

Vehicle accidents:

An officer responded to a report shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday of a single-vehicle accident on Back Loop Road and Goat Hill. The driver, no gender or age given, was cited for unsafe speed. Damage to the 1988 Chevy was estimated at $4,000.

Underage drinking:

A man, 18, was issued a citation about 8:30 p.m. Thursday at a business location on South Franklin Street for underage drinking. He was released.


Police conducted a traffic stop shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday near Auke Bay, and cited a man, 40, for driving with an expired license.

Police conducted a traffic stop about 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Gruening Park. A man, 28, was cited for driving without a valid license.

A woman, 46, reported shortly before 2 a.m. today that an intoxicated man whom she did not know was knocking at her door in Lemon Creek, shouting profanities and asking to be admitted. As the responding officer approached, the man, 46, entered his own apartment and agreed to stay there.
