From trash to treasure: Lindsey Forrest and Diandrea Mack model artist Ricky Tagaban's "Urban Aternative" made of trash bags, duct tape, Bounce dryer sheets, yarn and tulle.


Winning piece: Joanie Waller, center, appears on stage after winning Saturday's performance with her "The Queen of the Sea" piece made of fabric, bubble wrap, CDs, wire, glow sticks and more.


Attention span: Colena McDougal opens her piece, "Metal Fusion," made of aluminum, copper, leather, glue, wood, screws, gemstones, metal tape and metallic spray paint.

Color and creativity once again entertained a crowd at the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council annual fashion event that this year invited local artists to design wearable art under the theme "Mechanical Marvels."

Dozens of models strutted Centennial Hall's elevated catwalk wearing 24 different pieces under spotlights and choreographed music during two weekend shows.
