In response to Craig Wilson's Feb. 8 "My Turn: Solve the health crisis before worrying about Social Security," Craig not only hit the nail on the head, but I think he buried it in the wood. Seems our all-knowing and all-seeing fearless leader has been channeling the wrong crisis. Yes, Social Security may be in trouble, quite a few years from now, but let's look a little closer to the present.
I feel that this "Social Security crisis is an attempt of presidential proportions at sleight of hand to channel money somewhere else. Perhaps people should look at this sham a little closer, does anybody remember the reliability of the WMO report a few years ago? Maybe if we hadn't gone to war, we'd have the capital to fix both the Social Security fund and public health care. Don't worry folks, a deficit screaming out of control, with the cost of a war not even included in the federal budget, is nothing to worry about.
