JUNEAU - Small-business owners from around Alaska are invited to a dinner on Feb. 20 to discuss their legislative agenda for the session with each other and with policymakers.
The National Federation of Independent Business is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association whose mission is to give small-business owners a voice in making public policy. It has offices in every state capital and in Washington, D.C. The group says that small businesses aren't just smaller versions of big businesses; they have different concerns.
The event will be at the Hangar on the Wharf Ballroom in downtown Juneau. Issue discussions are at 4 p.m., and dinner with legislators begins at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $40.
