ANCHORAGE - Alaska's Redoubt Volcano is still active, but little has changed in the past 24 hours.
Scientists at the Alaska Volcano Observatory said Thursday that the volcano continues to be restless. They say volcanic tremors continue and are ongoing.
The volcano emitted a plume of steam on Monday, but since then has quieted.
In late January, the observatory began detecting a sharp increase in earthquakes beneath Mount Redoubt, which is about 100 miles southwest of Anchorage. Geologists have since warned that an eruption could occur at any time. However, they say it also is entirely possible the volcano won't erupt.
