The Juneau Community Charter School held its biennial Winter Camp on Thursday and Friday at the Eagle River United Methodist Camp. Students from kindergarten through eighth-grade participated in a series of place-based learning activities, including storytelling, Native Olympics events, skiing, devil’s club harvesting and preparing meals for the approximately 94 students in attendance. Special visits were made by the Southeast Alaska Dogs Organized for Ground Search (SEADOGS) and the Juneau Raptor Center.
