George Rogers was right (Letter to the Editor, Empire, Jan. 31). Go see "Gypsy!" See Karen Cross before she leaves Juneau. Everyone is good but Karen's portrayal of Mama Rose especially stands out. As the playbill says, Mama Rose is a "charming, ruthless and complicated" character and Karen plays her well. Plus, I had forgotten how many really good songs came from just this one play. Bravo to Perseverance for putting kids on stage. They didn't miss a beat. This week (Thursday to Sunday) is "Gypsy's" last.
