JUNEAU - This month, KTOO and KRNN, two of the K3 trio of public radio stations in Juneau, will be changing parts of their program schedules.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 15, KRNN will offer a new weekday service, Tideline. The program will air from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and be hosted by a local team of music enthusiasts.
"Be prepared for an eclectic blend of music, heavy on the folk and singer/songwriters, a pinch of world and a dash of rock, while also highlighting our long-standing commitment to local performers," said Jeff Brown, program director for the station.
"By making this change, not only do we offer less repetition between stations, we better fulfill our mission by allowing for more live, locally relevant programming" said Cheryl Levitt Snyder, K3 radio manager.
KTOO will offer "Left, Right and Center" back at its original time slot at 7 p.m. Fridays, followed by "Planetary Radio" and "Are We Alone?"
KTOO will offer the award-winning program, "This American Life," at noon Saturdays and at 9 p.m. Sundays. Saturday evenings at 7 p.m., listeners can enjoy an hour of radio drama from ZBS Media, beginning with "The Fourth Tower of Inverness," last heard on KTOO in 1976.
