Lindoff beats McCracken in Roughhouse Friday main event
JUNEAU - Anthony "The Hoonah Hooligan" Lindoff claimed a victory over Chuck "Ice Man" McCracken in the main event of the Roughhouse Friday boxing show at Marlintini's Lounge on Friday.
After a slow first round, both boxers came out swinging hard in a frenetic second round from which Lindoff emerged victorious.
In another bout, Andrew "The Gun" Swanston overcame a lost contact lens and a shoulder injury to win his final Juneau fight - a decision over Shawn Beaird.
In other bouts on Friday:
• Wayne "Fu" Smallwood beat Sonny LeCrone;
• Mike "Rock" Gravell defeated Brian Cox;
• George Garton claimed a second-round TKO over Jerry Burns;
• Andy Bullick won a decision over Joe Vargus;
• Julio GreGoire defeated Butch McClinton; and
• Sitka's Jake Coffin claimed a second-round TKO over Ben Reed of Anchorage.
The next Roughhouse Friday boxing event takes place March 5 at Marlintini's. Matt "The Goat" Coppick of Sitka is expected to return to action in the main event. Tickets are available at Marlintini's.
