Sitka School District to hold Safe Routes to School meeting

SITKA - A Safe Routes To School meeting will meet from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, at the Sitka School District office conference room at Keet Gooshi Heen Elementary School.

The work group meeting will be led by Sitka's local Safe Routes To School coordinator, Chris Bryner, and will focus on a plan to improve the safety of roads, sidewalks and trails near Sitka schools. This plan will be submitted to the state's Safe Routes To School program later this spring for funding consideration.

The meeting is open to the public and participation is welcome.
