Thanks for supporting the Brenda Krauss cancer benefit

Posted: Sunday, February 15, 2009

Over the last few months and at the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall benefit on Jan. 16, I, Brenda Krauss, was inspired and truly uplifted by community members who have come forth from churches, colleagues past and present, businesses, neighbors and friends.

I wholeheartedly wish to thank each and every one who has contributed and may continue to contribute to the benefit, the first National Alaska Fund and all efforts. The community has supported basic family needs for my kids, my father and myself.

People also provided companionship, bringing meals and playing with the kids, and have all been part of this loving community support. Progress has been made in my cancer treatment, but I still have ⅔ of the way to go. Ernie Krauss, my loving dad, passed away on Jan. 28. Thank you to Juneau and greater Alaska.

As co-coordinators of the Brenda Krauss cancer benefit fundraiser, we would like to thank the following businesses, organizations and individuals who helped make the fundraiser a great success. We want to also thank the many people who attended and filled the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall, donated money and bought auction items. It was awesome to witness how people came together to support Brenda Krauss and her family. Thank you for your support. Cindy Hartmann Moore and Rita Shannon.
