ANCHORAGE - An Anchorage grand jury has issued an indictment in a six-year-old homicide.
Thirty-eight-year-old Andrew Amarok is charged with murdering his stepfather, Dennis Kane, a former facilities maintenance foreman at the state Department of Transportation.
Amarok was indicted on a count of first-degree murder. He was already jailed and awaiting trial on drug charges. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
Kane was found dead in his home in January 2003. Police say there was no sign of forced entry but evidence of a struggle and injuries to his attacker.
