Program description: AARP Tax-Aide provides tax preparation assistance to low and moderate income taxpayers, with an emphasis on assisting those over 60. All services are provided at no cost to the client.

Volunteer positions available: Tax counselors (return preparers) are needed for this tax filing season to provide filing assistance on Sundays from now until April 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Mendenhall Library. The program uses special tax preparation software, which is provided. AARP Tax-Aide provides training at no cost to volunteers. All counselors must pass a test for certification.
