Family concert to be held this Sunday

The annual Zip-a-dee-doo-dah Family Concert will be on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Centennial Hall. There will be a silent auction at 5 p.m., with the concert starting at 5:30 p.m. This will be an evening of music, storytelling and all around family fun.
The concert will feautre magician Jeff Brown as emcee, along with special guests, Jim and Martha Stey, Max Blust; story tellers Margie Hamburger and Rhonda Gardinier; the Cat's Meow String Band and the Go Dad Go Band.

Sourdough Pancake Cook Off set for March 17
Community Schools in conjunction with Juneau Douglas High School will be hosting their first Sourdough Pancake Cook Off from 9 to 11 a.m. on March 17 at Juneau-Douglas High School. Participants will be cooking their favorite Sourdough pancakes and the public will judge who's is best.

Diabetes classes to be Feb. 20, 21 and 28
Learn to manage diabetes through healthy eating in this series of three classes. Each session includes a short lecture followed with participants preparing recipes for tasting.
Classes will be held on Feb. 20, 21, and 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Juneau Douglas High School Home Economics Room.
The cost is $20 and includes all three sessions. The fee must be paid at the time of registration as space is limited.
