I'm writing this correspondence to the issues of the Alaska Permanent Fund. With all the politics surrounding the fund and its billions I think that state representative (who proposed a one-time payout) has the best idea for the people and the state.
We the people have been fighting over the usage of the fund every year come legis-time. It is time to pay out the fund and give the state government the suggested amount once the $20,000 has been paid out to each and every person here in the state. A new fund then should begin allowing the people to enhance and build the fund back up as they did with the Permanent Fund program. We the people did it once, we can do it again. This would give the people the pay out and also keep the government happy and at the same time a new era of Permanent Fund begins with new rules and application. The state's budget would get resolved and the fund would be reintroduced and we the people can actually say we helped.
