Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A boy, 17, was placed under citizen's arrest on a theft of services charge at 3:02 a.m. Monday near Distin Avenue downtown. He was released.

• At 11:29 a.m. Monday, a man reported that a woman's bracelet, valued at $50, was taken from his unlocked Volkswagen while it was parked near Miner Court near the airport.


• A man reported at 12:38 p.m. Sunday that a shed door was vandalized near Riverside Drive.

• A woman reported at 9:13 p.m. Sunday that a metal multi-address mailbox was vandalized near Glacier Highway. Damage was estimated at $600.

Vehicle accidents:

• A 1997 Dodge reportedly struck a 1995 Toyota at 12:37 p.m. Sunday on Glacier Highway. No damage estimates were available.

• A 1993 Subaru reportedly struck a 1989 Ford at 1:25 p.m. Sunday at Vintage Boulevard and Glacier Highway. Police cited the Subaru's driver, an 18-year-old man, on a charge of failing to yield. Damage to the Subaru was estimated at $2,000. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $1,000.

• Police received a report at 6:01 p.m. Sunday that a 1996 Dodge Dakota struck a parked 2000 Toyota Corolla near Peters Lane in the West Juneau area. The only reported damage was to the Toyota, estimated at $800.

• At 6:05 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of a 2001 Dodge Neon striking a 1996 Ford on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. Damage to the Neon was estimated at $1,000. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $1,000. Police cited the Dodge's driver, a 26-year-old woman, on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance.

• Police cited a man, 46, at 7:56 a.m. Monday on a charge of careless driving after he reported the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am he was driving struck the pedestrian crosswalk signal in slick conditions at Vintage Boulevard and Riverside Drive. The signal was toppled. No damage was reported to the car.

• A 1987 Toyota sport utility vehicle reportedly struck a 1991 Ford pickup truck at 9:05 a.m. Monday on Fritz Cove Road. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $1,000. Damage to the Toyota was estimated at $1,500.

Hit and run:

• At 9:27 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported an unknown vehicle struck a 2000 Ford Mustang near Parkview Court in the Mendenhall Valley. Damage was reported to the driver's-side door and fender. No damage estimate was available.

• At 9:05 a.m. Monday, a man reported his 1992 Chevrolet was struck by an unknown vehicle near Tongass Boulevard in the Mendenhall Valley. Damage was reported to the bumper.

Found property:

• At 8:21 a.m. Monday, a man reported finding a backpack and a sleeping bag near the Mendenhall River. The items and contents were placed in safekeeping at the police station.
