Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 27-year-old Richard Jerue on a charge of drunken driving at 12:47 a.m. Thursday on outbound Egan drive near Glacier Highway in the Jordan Creek area. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

• Police arrested 59-year-old Johnny Albert on a charge of drunken driving at 2:10 a.m. Thursday on Amalga Street in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged him at the state prison and impounded the vehicle he was driving.


• A BB gun was reported stolen at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday in the 4400 block of Taku Boulevard in the valley.

• An ergonomic backpack was reported stolen at 7:07 a.m. Thursday from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Crowhill Drive in the Douglas area. Contents of the backpack included a purse, a cellular telephone and identification.

• About $220 was reported stolen at 10:24 a.m. Thursday from a purse in the 3000 block of Clinton Drive in the valley.

• A case containing 10 compact discs was reported stolen at 11:58 a.m. Thursday from an unlocked 2000 Ford in the 4500 block of Thane Road.


• At 7 a.m. Thursday, the side window of a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier was reported broken with a rock in the 2200 block of Crowhill Drive.

• Driver and passenger windows on a 1994 Ford Explorer were reported broken out at 8:27 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Douglas Highway.

• At 9:33 a.m. Thursday, a 1990 Subaru Legacy was reported vandalized in the 100 block of South Franklin Street downtown in an apparent effort to steal the car radio.

• At 10:28 a.m. Thursday, a mailbox was reported vandalized in the 15400 block of Glacier Highway in the Auke Bay area.

Vehicle accident:

• Police cited a 16-year-old girl on a charge of careless driving after an accident at 9:56 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglas Highway traffic circle. She reportedly was driving a 1995 Subaru that struck a sign. Damage to the car was estimated at $3,000.

Traffic stops:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 8:19 a.m. Thursday on Nancy Street in the valley after citing the driver, a 43-year-old woman, on charges of driving without a license and not carrying proof of insurance.
