Former Juneau resident LaQuita Forrest of Jackson, Miss., and Ayatti Hatcher of Macon, Miss., will be married at 3 p.m. on Feb. 18 at New Horizon Church in Jackson, Miss. A reception will follow at the New Horizon Family Life Center.
The bride is the daughter of James and Susan Forrest. She is a graduate of the Mississippi University for Women and is a lead interviewer for the Mississippi State Department of Health.
The groom is the son of Levi and Lucille Hatcher. A graduate of Tougaloo College, he is a resident advisor for Mississippi Children's Services.
The matron of honor is Cassandra Welchlin, and the maid of honor is Melissa Overton. The bridesmaids will be Jakeita Forrest, Jessica Forrest, Lavetta Hatcher, Lefelvia Jenkins and Qiana Watson. The petal girls will be Crystal James and Cillmaryl Hatcher, and the flower girls will be Laila Hudson and Keasia Purvis.
The best man will be Patrick Bowen, and the groomsmen will be Christopher Harbin, Christopher Hatcher, Jeremy Forrest, Joshua Forrest and Brian Wynter. The ushers will be Karlos Hall, Essex Brooks and Bobby L. Jones. Anthony Strickland II will be the Bible bearer. The ring-bearer will be LaMark Williams.
The couple plans to take their honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. They make their home in Clinton, Miss.
