Members of Alaska Native Brotherhood and Sisterhood camps 14 and 15 sit behind them. Peratrovich (1911-58) was a champion of Native rights and considered instrumental in the passage of the Alaska Civil Rights Act of 1945, prohibiting racial discrimination in the state.
