No drinking at Capitol

Letter to the editor

Phyllis Lewis had a great point about how the legislators work long and irregular hours and how they may be identified and criticized if they were in public places drinking. The same can be said for state troopers, police officers, judges, and educators. I bet they would like a nice, quiet drink in their office after a hard day at work.

There is a reason that drinking is not allowed in state buildings. Our legislators, of all people, should set the example. The Capitol guard should get his job back along with a commendation. Drinking in our state buildings should be banned, for everyone.
