FAIRBANKS - U.S. Sen. Mark Begich will meet with veterans in Alaska during this week's congressional break.
Begich conducted a listening session Tuesday in Fairbanks. It followed a similar session held Monday in Anchorage.
Begich, a Democrat, serves on both the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Committee on Veterans Affairs.
Among the issues to be discussed with veterans were health care, retirement issues and pay.
On Thursday, Begich will discuss the economic recovery package in Bethel and tour the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corp. with Darren Pete, the director of congressional affairs for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
