Nominate an Alaska conservationist

ALASKA — The Alaska Conservation Foundation is seeking individuals and organizations that have gone above the call of duty in helping to preserve Alaska to be nominated for a Conservation Achievement Award.

The ACF is looking for individuals and organizations that fit into a range of categories: Outstanding Professional Contributions, Outstanding Volunteer Contributions, Young Environmental Activists, Outstanding Achievements by a Conservation Organization, Excellence in Environmental Education, Excellence in Still Photography, Film or Video and Outstanding Achievements by an Alaska Native Organization or Individual.

Nominations for 2011 are now open. ACF stated in a press release that this is an opportunity to recognize the efforts and contributions of outstanding individuals (and organizations) who are working tirelessly to protect Alaska’s magnificence.

To nominate a candidate for an ACF Conservation Achievement Award, simply download the form at: and tell the organization about the candidate. Candidates from across Alaska and out-of-state will be considered. Nominations are due to ACF by Thursday, March 31.
