Fireside Lecture on kayak trip on Yukon River

JUNEAU — This week’s Fireside Lecture at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor’s Center will be “Paddling the Yukon River: Whitehorse to Dawson by Kayak.”

Retrace the historic route of the Klondike stampeders with Scott Foster and his brother in 2009 as they paddle their kayaks along 450 miles of the Yukon River from Whitehorse to Dawson City, Yukon Territory.

The lecture takes place twice tonight at 6:30 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.
