Mental Health Board and advisory panel meets in Juneau

The Alaska Mental Health Board and Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse will hold its winter meeting in Juneau from Feb. 21 through Feb. 23, at the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall in downtown Juneau, on Willoughby Avenue.

These meetings offer members of the public an chance to learn about the boards, ask questions, and offer comments on issues related to mental health and /or alcoholism and drug abuse. Public comment will be held between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21 at the ANB Hall.

The 3-day meeting will include presentations by the commissioner and directors at the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, as well as the Alaska Addiction Professionals Association, Alaska Behavioral Health Association, Alaska Peer Support Consortium, Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation and the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence.
