Lifelong Juneau resident Jacqueline M. Denning died Feb. 15, 2008, in Juneau. She was 35.
Her parents were Martha Nashoanak and Carey Brown, but she was raised by Jack and Victoria Watkins. She attended Juneau-Douglas High School, Sam Houston Grade School in Texas and Sierra Middle School in Reno, Nev. She graduated from the Office of Skills in Juneau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Denning; adoptive father, Jack Watkins; brothers, Kyle Nashoanak and Larry Sanders Jr.; sister, Sharon Sanders; niece, Jezebel Nashoanak; and nephew, Jeremiah Nashoanak-Wheaton.
She is survived by her children, Tara Lynn Johnson, Grace Denning, Kendrea McCaley, Nicholas Denning, Joseph Johnson and Jimmy Johnson; mother, Martha Nashoanak; aunt and adoptive mother, Victoria Watkins; brothers, Tom Sanders, Travis and Corey Nashoanak; and sisters, Karin Schaufele and Bernice Dybdahl.
Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Tlingit and Haida Community Center near Salmon Creek.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Hillman III, John Hillman, Ray Wilson and Ron Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob White, Percy Douglas and Lillian Hillman.
