Juneau resident Hailey Shea Greenbank died Feb. 14, 2009, as a result of a tragic automobile accident in Juneau on Feb. 3, 2009. She was 5.
She was born Nov. 10, 2003, in Petaluma, Calif.
"In her short life, Hailey knew no strangers, had many friends, loved to read and brought constant joy to everyone around her," her family said. "Hailey was convinced she was a princess. We are convinced that she was a princess, too."
She loved the color pink, the color purple, picking flowers and swimming. She loved drawing, singing, playing with her friends and dancing.
She is survived by her parents, Aasya and Toby Greenbank, currently stationed with the U.S. Coast Guard in Juneau; sisters, Hanna Greenbank and Mahalia ; grandparents, John and Carol Greenbank, Bonnie and Jim Vanzant, and Maryam Rahman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and her Coast Guard family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Phoenix, Ariz. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. prior to services. Following the funeral service, burial will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Phoenix. A separate memorial service will be held in Juneau at a later date.
