SEARHC hosts dental clinic in Angoon

ANGOON - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium Jessie Norma Jim Health Center in Angoon plans to host a special Denali KidCare pediatric dental clinic on Feb. 23-27.

This clinic will feature dental examination appointments on Monday and Tuesday with follow-up treatment Feb. 25-27. The clinic is open for children younger than 18 who are currently enrolled in the state's Denali KidCare program or Medicaid. Dr. Kristi Linsenmayer will lead the pediatric dental team for this clinic, and Glennys O'Brien will be the hygienist.

Parents and guardians who wish to have their children participate in the clinic should call Tina Gamble at the SEARHC Jessie Norma Jim Health Center at 788-4655 to schedule an exam appointment. Denali KidCare is a state program designed to secure insurance and full access to health care for Alaska children younger than 18 of working and non-working parents, and expecting mothers who meet income guidelines. SEARHC partners with the Denali KidCare program to provide special clinics around the region when pediatric dentists are available.
