FAIRBANKS - Alaska State Troopers say the body of a woman has been found in a wooded area north of Fairbanks.

Troopers say tentative identification of the woman found Tuesday has been made by family members. The woman is described as between 14 and 25 years old.

Authorities are withholding the name until an autopsy can be performed by the state medical examiner. Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters says foul play is not apparent in the death.

ANCHORAGE - A 48-year-old Ketchikan man will serve 6 ½ years in a federal prison for trafficking methamphetamine.

U.S. District Court Judge Ralph Beistline sentenced Rodolfo Lastimosa, who was convicted of nine trafficking counts in December.

Federal prosecutors say Lastimosa sold the drug by hand, and also mailed the drug through the postal service.
