Friday, Feb. 22

Juneau-Douglas High School girls basketball -- The Crimson Bears host the Ketchikan Kings in a pair of Region V-Class 4A games Friday and Saturday at the Juneau-Douglas High School main gym. Varsity games are at 8 p.m., with junior varsity at 6 p.m. and C team at 4 p.m. These are the team's final regular-season home games for the year.

Saturday, Feb. 23

Juneau Alpine Club -- Ice ax practice near Mendenhall Glacier Visitor's Center takes place time TBA for about one or two hours today. Required technical gear includes an ice ax. Info: Trip leader Kathy Landry, 789-7058.

Wednesday, Feb. 27

Juneau Archery Club -- An indoor archery event takes place from 3-9 p.m. in the Floyd Dryden Middle School gym. Archers will shoot at animal silhouette targets and trophies will be awarded. Info: JAC President Erik Lundquist, 789-3508.

Friday, March 1

Juneau-Douglas High School boys basketball -- The Crimson Bears host the Sitka Wolves in a pair of Region V-Class 4A games Friday and Saturday at the Juneau-Douglas High School main gym. Varsity games are 8 p.m., with junior varsity at 6 p.m. and C team at 4 p.m. These are the team's final regular-season home games for the year.

Roughhouse Fridays boxing -- Boxing starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall. Tickets are $20 and $30 each and are available at ANB Hall and Marlintini's Lounge. Info: Bob Haag of Big H Promotions, 1-907-274-8575 in Anchorage.

Saturday, March 2
